- Download the current version of Irfanview in the Self extracting EXE file and save it to your Desktop. Make a note of the program name, which will include the version of the release (for example: "iview391.exe")
- From your Desktop, run the IrfanView setup by double-clicking on the icon for the executable file (for example: "iview391.exe")
- The setup utility window will open and allow you the opportunity to create Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts, and to specify a directory for Irfanview. We recommend you accept the default configuration and click on the "Next" button.
- The second screen of the setup utility displays information about the changes in this version of IrfanView. Click on the "Next" button.
- The third screen of the setup utility allows you to select files to "associate" with IrfanView. We recommend not associating any files at this time. You can add associations later from within the program. Click on the "Next" button.
- The fourth screen of the setup utility lists a summary of the files to be installed. Click on the "Next" button.
- Your installation is now complete. The fifth screen of the setup utility lists instructions for uninstalling IrfanView. Click on the "Done" button.
