Amusing stories of travels throughout Oregon's beautiful–and sometimes not-so-accessible–scenic areas, from the perspective of a not-so-athletic photographer.
"I took to photography like a duck to water. I never wanted to do anything else. Excitement about the subject is the voltage which pushes me over the mountain of drudgery necessary to produce the final photograph"

Traffic is the life blood of every website, including blogs. With a gazillion blogs on the internet, it can be tough to get read, especially when you’re first starting out.

Enter BlogRush. The latest brain child of marketer John Reese, BlogRush is like MLM for web traffic, without the hard sell.

BlogRush Widget image

Put the BlogRush widget on your blog, (see the example to the right,) and BlogRush will display links to other blogs with relevant topics. A link to your latest blog will be displayed in widgets on other blogs within your selected topic. Called a “Syndication Credit”, your link is published one time for every widget impression from your blog.

But wait, there’s more!

At the bottom of the widget is an invitation to sign up for free. Every visitor to your blog has the opportunity to sign up, and when they do, you get credit for the referral. And for every widget impression your referrals generate, you get another Syndication Credit!

But it doesn’t stop there!

You can earn Syndication Credits from your “downline”. Although it isn’t one to one on every level, you earn credits for up to 10 levels, with no limit to the number of referrals on each level.

This is one of those things you need to take action on right away, though. The longer you wait, the more visitors you’ll get that have already signed up through someone else. That means you’ll have fewer opportunities for new referrals.

So don’t wait around. Watch the short BlogRush video that explains how the service works. Then sign up and give BlogRush a whirl. You have nothing to lose, and loads of traffic to gain.

One caveat. This service is still in beta, and has a few bugs to work out. Don’t let that discourage you from signing up. Just be patient during the transition. I believe you will be glad you signed up.

And yes, this is a shameless plug to get you to sign up through my referral link, because I want more traffic to my blog, too!
